Nightmares

Silent and dark, it stalks you, in the shadows waiting for slep to return. You tell yourself it's only a dream but you know better. As darkness falls and sleep returns, it comes from the shadows, loud and full of hate. You twist and turn as you sleep in your bed. Then it leaves as quickly as it came, and haunts your mind once more.
